A fast electric blues featuring Mike Bloomfield on lead guitar.
The words
A chaotic parade of historical and biblical figures acting out a nightmare version of America.
A fevered collage of America in which historical figures, biblical characters and pop-culture names collide in absurd, often violent scenes. There is no story as such; the verses pile up images of war, authority and madness, while a chorus returns the singer to his own household, where everyone is struggling to get by. The effect is satirical and breathless, propelled by a racing electric blues band and Mike Bloomfield's stinging lead guitar.
