A 1934 standard with words by Richard B. Smith and music by Felix Bernard, here played as a bright, bouncy number early on Christmas in the Heart.
The words
A couple walks through a snowy landscape, building a snowman and dreaming happily about their future together.
The song follows two sweethearts out in the snow, delighting in sleigh bells, a snowman and the cold that sends them back by the fire. It is less about Christmas itself than about winter romance, and its mood is light and playful throughout. Dylan gives it a brisk, cheerful swing with a chorus of backing voices, and his gravelly delivery makes its innocence sound both sincere and a little comic.
