A comic talking song on Another Side of Bob Dylan that parodies the old farmer's daughter joke and Hitchcock's film Psycho.
The words
A traveller asks for a bed at a farmhouse and ends up fleeing a farmer, his daughter and a shotgun.
A wanderer knocks at a farmhouse door and is given shelter on condition he leaves the daughter alone. Things go wrong from there in a chain of slapstick events, with nods to horror films and Cold War politics along the way. It is told in a fast, half-spoken style with harmonica, a satire of small-town suspicion played entirely for laughs.
