On that 1966 tour each concert had two halves: a quiet acoustic set, then a loud one with the Hawks, and many folk fans booed the second half night after night. In Manchester a voice from the audience called him a traitor in the harshest terms. Dylan answered that he did not believe him and called him a liar, then turned to the band and told them to play loud before launching into "Like a Rolling Stone". The recording circulated for decades on bootlegs mislabeled as the Royal Albert Hall concert. Columbia officially released it in 1998 as Live 1966, part of the Bootleg Series, and it is now regarded as one of the great live rock recordings. More than one man has since claimed to be the heckler.
